 "Kristin Rooney says you can walk on water," Dot's line makes my day.

I buy a round-trip ticket to go home for Christmas on JetBlue for $285. I plan to depart on December 15, 2000, and to return on January 1, 2001.

I happily stay late at the office to get a car voucher.

I attend the Virgin Megastore's release party for Madonna's Music CD. In addition to the CD, I receive a free belt buckle. I enjoy some hors d'oeuvres and listen to the new tunes as I await Madonna's surprise appearance.

She never shows.
