2000 October 1 Sunday Boston Temple Dedication
I fall asleep late and awake early. I sleep miserably.
The morning makes everything all right.
I shower in the locker room downstairs. Showers should be sacred and slow, but usually they are hurried and fast in our apartment.
I ready leisurely this morning.
The weather is perfect.
I talk to Jared's friend Alyssa all the way into the city. I help her with her bag. Even this small act of service makes me happy.
I'm unprepared for the overpowering Spirit at the Boston Temple dedication, which is broadcast to the Lincoln Square chapel. President Hinckley's voice makes me cry. I love him so much. I know he receives revelation. His wit is adorable.
His granddaughter Holly is in my ward.
I go to an early dedication session to have some time to myself at the apartment afterward.
I open Madonna's new Music CD and listen to it loudly.
I eat Golden Grahams and drink orange juice.
I nap for the first time in this apartment.
I emerge refreshed and renewed.
I watch the Behind the Music profile of Cher.
I fix spaghetti, parmesan toast and salad.
I'm watching the closing ceremony of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
God gives me a great day!
